WUPPERTAL, North Rhine-Westphalia, 7 May 2026 – Quartz Healthcare Germany announces the acquisition of Dr Meinecke’s radiotherapy and radio-oncology practice/centre in Berlin-Hellersdorf. The well-established radiotherapy practice will become part of the Quartz Group, strengthening the growing network of care provision in eastern Berlin and the neighbouring area of Brandenburg. Through this strategic partnership, Quartz Healthcare is expanding its presence in the region. The acquisition also marks a further milestone in Quartz’s strategy to expand its radiotherapy activities and position the group as a leading provider of outpatient radiotherapy nationwide.
The practice/centre for radiotherapy and medical oncology in Berlin, founded by partner and doctor Dr Andreas Meinecke, has established itself as a leading provider of outpatient radiotherapy in the region and is represented at numerous tumour boards. At the Berlin Hellersdorf site, around 1,300 patients receive radiotherapy treatment each year. The state-of-the-art range of services encompasses the full spectrum of percutaneous radiotherapy as well as 3D and 4D treatment planning using a planning CT scanner.
The state-of-the-art equipment, comprising two of the latest digital linear accelerators (LINACs), a planning CT scanner, a digital surface scanning system including automatic respiratory gating, and modern planning software, including artificial intelligence support, enables the treatment of both benign and malignant conditions to the highest medical standards. The experienced team of four specialists, along with around 25 medical assistants and physics experts, ensures high-quality patient care.
“With the integration of the new MVZ Quartz Berlin-Hellersdorf, we are gaining a site with an exceptional breadth of expertise and state-of-the-art technical equipment,” explains Ludovic Robert, Chief Executive Officer of Quartz Healthcare Germany. “The combination of radiotherapy and the highly specialised range of services for the treatment of patients with both malignant and benign conditions makes the MVZ Quartz Berlin-Hellersdorf a very valuable addition to our network.”
The MVZ Quartz Berlin-Hellersdorf will remain at its current location, and the entire medical and technical staff will be retained. Dr Andreas Meinecke will continue to serve as Medical Director. Dr Meinecke will also take on the role of Site Manager alongside Mr Thomas Strach, who serves as Business Unit Manager for radiotherapy at Quartz Healthcare. This structure ensures both continuity in the proven standard of medical care and seamless integration into Quartz Healthcare’s quality standards.
The MVZ Quartz Berlin-Hellersdorf will be integrated into Quartz Nordrhein MVZ GmbH as a branch and will, in future, benefit from the synergies and resources of the Quartz Healthcare network. Investments are planned for the ongoing modernisation of medical technology and the further development of the already comprehensive range of services.
