Fast-track MRI appointments for urgent cases

Appointment Service Centre

For cases of particular medical urgency, appointments can be arranged via the Appointment Service Centre (TSS) of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. For patients with statutory health insurance, this makes a significant contribution to ensuring optimal medical care. These particularly fast-track CT and MRI appointments are intended for medically urgent cases to avoid long waiting times (so-called emergency appointments or TSS appointments).

If your GP or specialist determines that your case is particularly urgent, you will receive a corresponding urgency note on your referral.

By calling 116 117, you will then be given an appointment within 2 to 35 days.

Referral by a GP

Your GP, paediatrician or adolescent health specialist can also, where there is a corresponding medical urgency, organise an appointment directly for you within 2 to 35 days.

Please note that the decision regarding medical urgency rests solely with your GP or specialist.

We support the Appointment Service Centre of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians by keeping a sufficient number of slots available for such appointments. Further information on this can be found at www.116117-termine.de

How to get MRI and CT appointments quickly

TSS – Acute Case

A representative from the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians will discuss your situation with you and carry out an assessment. If you are classified as a TSS acute case, you will be given an appointment within 24 hours directly through the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.

TSS appointment case

Ask your (specialist) doctor to include a specific urgency note on your referral.

If they consider it medically necessary, they can classify you as a TSS priority case. In this case, please call 116 117. You will then be given an appointment within 2–10 days.

Important!

Please also remember to cancel any appointment you have already booked with us if you have been given an earlier appointment via 116117. The best way to do this is via our online reception. We can then reallocate the appointment that has become available to another patient.
