For medically particularly urgent cases, appointment scheduling is available through the Appointment Service Center (TSS) of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. This service makes an important contribution to ensuring optimal medical care for patients with statutory health insurance. These especially expedited CT and MRI appointments are intended for medically urgent cases to avoid long waiting times (so-called emergency or TSS appointments).
If your general practitioner or specialist determines that your case is particularly urgent, you will receive a corresponding urgency note on your referral.
By calling the phone number 116 117, you will receive an appointment within 2 to 35 days.
Your general practitioner, pediatrician, or adolescent doctor can also organize an appointment directly for you within 2 to 35 days, if medically urgent (so-called GP referral case).
Please note that the decision on medical urgency lies solely with your general practitioner or specialist. We support the Appointment Service Center of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians by keeping a sufficient number of appointments available. Please remember to cancel any already scheduled appointment with us if you have received an earlier appointment through 116117. It is best to use our online reception for this. We can then offer the newly freed-up appointment to another patient.
